I happened to be in Gates one day when they were interviewing Frank for the vacant bar tending job. I said hello and Jeb, the owner said “you know this guy?” I said yes and that we went to NCHS together and he was a good guy. Truthfully I hardly knew Frank but he was always fair to me so I thought a good referral was something I should do. He was hired that afternoon and became a legendary fixture there and in New Canaan until we lost him.
