Jay Miller Bartley was born April 15, 1950 in Ohio and died November 11, 1997 from complications due to diabetes, in Houston, Harris County, Texas. In 1971 he marriedChristin Sorenson in Los Angeles, but divorced in 1975.
I remember the first day he came to NCHS, all the girls went ga-ga over him. He was a gentile giant of a guy. Did he go to Brown and play football? I always felt guilty because we were banging against each other playing pickup basketball in the gym when he hurt his knee. I don’t think it ever got better.
